About La Fresca
La Fresca is a community-led network for the local entrepreneurs and small businesses that have anchored Globeville, Elyria, and Swansea for generations. We are rooted here; we know our community; we are the community, working together to strengthen our neighborhoods for the good of all.
We started by listening to the neighborhood
La Fresca began by listening to local business owners. We also surveyed neighbors at neighborhood restaurants about supporting small businesses, easing everyday costs, and improving access to fresh, healthy, affordable food. Their responses helped shape the network.
La Fresca comenzó escuchando a los dueños de negocios locales. También encuestamos a vecinos en restaurantes de la comunidad sobre el apoyo a los pequeños negocios, el costo de vida y el acceso a alimentos frescos, saludables y asequibles. Sus respuestas ayudaron a dar forma a la red.
Our Network Navigators continue those conversations across Globeville, Elyria, and Swansea. Owners describe rising rents, language and technology barriers, limited delivery options, and uncertainty about funding, taxes, insurance, permits, and licensing. They also want a network where they can learn from one another.

We support local entrepreneurs and small businesses of every kind in GES. Our Navigators help owners find funding opportunities, tax resources, and the city departments that provide free guidance on permits and licensing.

We help owners understand available resources, make introductions, and follow up together. Tax preparation and grant-writing services are provided by qualified partners, when available, rather than by La Fresca.
